NCHS Cross Country split wins at the home meet on September 14. The boys for Newton won with a score of 19 to Marshall’s 36. Flora competed but did not have a full team. Newton girls on the other hand, fell to Marshall with a score of 39 to Marshall’s 16.
Nick Zwilling won the boys meet for the Eagles with a time of 14:59. Luke Weber placed third (16:12), Clay Bergbower placed fourth (16:19), Ben Street placed sixth (16:37), Brock Probst and Gary Reynold also placed in the top ten.
In girls action, Rylea Borgic placed fifth with a time of 19:05, Laney Hemrich placed seventh with a time of 20:32, and Lucy Yager placed ninth with a time of 21:53.
