Newton High School will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school gym, located at 201 West End Avenue in Newton.
The blood drive is sponsored by the Newton High School Student Council and provides an opportunity for community members to help patients in need while also supporting graduating Newton High School seniors.
According to the American Red Cross, donations made during the drive can help one or more graduating seniors earn a scholarship.
Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting RedCrossBlood.org.
Donors can also save up to 15 minutes during their visit by completing the RapidPass process before donating.
All presenting donors will receive an American Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last. The Red Cross is also offering a $15 e-gift card to those who come to give blood during the promotional period listed on the flyer.
The American Red Cross reminds potential donors that every blood donation can make a difference for patients and families facing medical emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments and other serious health conditions.
